I decided it was a malfunction in the printer because even when I set it to print light, the density of the ink did not change. I've been using computers and printers for many years. Amazon does returns real well! As soon as I took the printer to the UPS store and they scanned the label I got my refund. So this time I ordered an HP ENVY 7640 and so far I'm very happy with it! I'm also signed up for the instant ink plan. We'll see how this goes. 🙂

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues? or did it never worked before?

Which operating system are you using your printer with?

 

Please reply with the details for further assistance.

Meanwhile, Please clean your printhead and try printing in fast draft mode, let me know if that works.
