Deskjet 4675
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just bought this computer and on some fonts, the printer prints some letters correctly but some letters are printed thinner than the others

Did you mean to say that you "added" a font set to the computer?

TrueType fonts, in general at least, should print if that font set is one that the printer understands.

If you have not done so, install the Full Feature Software for the printer.

HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4675 All-in-One Printer

Full Feature Software:

File name:  DJ4670_72.exe  (188.9 MB)

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC / Foxit)

If you have issues that you cannot overcome, try / consider:

  •  Embed the fonts (say, in a Word document)'
  • Print the document as an Image (PDF).

Printing the document as an image file removes the need for the printer to understand / translate the text content.

Help, suggestions, and examples:

Manage Print Output with Print Preview

Sections, various - including:

  • Preparation
  • Print as Image
  • Word – “Things that are Fonts”

Thanks for replying.

No, I did not mean that I added the fonts to the printer. I was referring to the font from the word document that for some reason the printer prints some letters thinner than others. This is only when printing from a word document but if I convert it to a PDF the printer prints it great.

I have installed the full software for the printer.

OK.. I don't know the answer.

  • I tend to use a very few of the many fonts available in Word (2016).
  • I either don't run into this issue, or I have inadvertently ignored any printed font "weirdness".

The following article discusses changing both font height and width / spacing:

Changing the Height of a Font

Word Ribbon > Font section > Expand settings  > tab Advanced

Reference:

Manage Print Output with Print Preview

Section:

  • Word – “Things that are Fonts” > subsections
    • In Word Options, select to use "fonts that are on the printer"
    • Skinny, tall, short, fat Fonts
