I am trying to scan documeents on my OFFICEJET 4500.

I get a message saying: "No scan options."

How can I scan documents?

Windows provides a bunch of methods and programs for scanning.

 

If you have the Full Feature Software installed for your Operating System, use the Printer Assistant shortcut icon on your Desktop > Select Scan a document or photo (wording varies).

 

There are very nice alternate programs available, including the feature-rich HP Scan Extended program that provides essential scan functions AND the ability to auto-detect images and scan field sizes.

HP Scan Extended   – Standalone scan program:  Single, Multiple scans, Auto-Crop!
