I have an all0in-one printer HP7510 and i want to scan a document that is two sided without doing one side and then the other side and then the pages are not in order. I have a Mac Pro with Mavericks. Thsi feature came with my printer but when I open the details for the scan, there is no option to choose duplex so that I can scan. Please help!

Hello warmbear,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand you would like to scan a document double sided using the Photosmart 7510. I will do my best to assist you! How is this printer connected? Wireless or USB?

Follow these steps in order:

Please uninstall the software on your computer, as I will provide a HP document on performing this step here. Now, install the full feature software from the HP website here. If you need help installing this printer, then please follow this HP document here. Please choose your correct connection type.

If this printer is connected wireless, then when you add a printer in "Printers and Scanners", make sure the printer is not selected to "AirPrint". Please follow this Apple document here.

Also, in "Printers and Scanners", click on "Options and Supplies", then click on "Options". Make sure two sided duplex is installed.

Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Smiley Happy

Hi Cheetah12,

My mac has Mavericks as I stated in my information when I posted the question and my printer is wireless.

I also downloaded the drivers for the version of Mavericks on my Mac Pro but it did not seem to have changed anything except for the icon of my scan I put on my desktop whcih I do not know how to set it up again on my desktop tabs.

Please let me know before I unistall the HP software I have

PS my Mavericks system is 10.9

Thanks

Thank you for this updated information!

Did you uninstall the software first, then reinstalled the software? I understand you don't have the HP scan on your desktop anymore. Follow these steps:

Please go to "Applications" on your computer, then look for "Hewlett Packard". Look for "HP Scan", then drag it onto your Desktop. Follow this YouTube video on performing this step here.

Please post your results again!
