i had this printer for several years, never scanned on it, but now  that i need to pushing the scann button it dosent do anything

please advise what to do?????

I understand that you are unable to scan from the control panel of your HP Deskjet F4180 All-in-One Printer.

 

This issue could occur if the scanning software is not installed on the computer. Also, there may not be an option to scan from the printer. Hence, you need to scan from the software installed on the computer.

 

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.
