As your device contains a Document Feeder, sending multiple pages from the Scanner Glass is not supported.
Simply place the pages faced up on the Document Feeder and send the fax, as documented below:

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

i read a simialr post for the 6500, and i know that i can use the adf to domultuple pages. when i first got the fax macine, if i faxed from the glass a prompt would come up that said "fax another page? press 1 or 2..." this prompt no longer comes up for some reason, the call hangs up and i have to redial.... i like to fax from the glass if i have 2 sided pages or stapled stuff.
I have not reset the fax to factory defaults, but thought of that.
Thanks
Chris

no good. bent, crinkled, torn, or irregular in any way won't go through the ADF. Consequently multiple calls, lots of wasted time, wasted fax confirmation reports printed that I don't even want wasting paper, ink, and time.
non-answer

This is really interesting.
That reply was from 2 years ago. I have had an HP 6500 a-f since 11/11.
Up until recently, I could scan/fax multiple pages from the glass not using the ADF.
I use my 6500 with both an XP (work-supplied) machine and an OSX machine.
I don't know which software update changed this but it was within the last 6-9 months.
My ADF will no longer feed even the most perfect piece of paper, rendering my 6500 useless as anything more than a printer or single page scan/fax.
Any recommendations for a non-HP replacement?

Wow....
This is the 2nd HP all in one I purchased. I swore I wouldnt buy another one but broke down because of the price and reviews. I thought...."just a coincidence" on the first one.
Yea, everything worked fine till they SCREWED up the software update on the scan/fax multiple pages option from the auto doc feeder on top.
Now I have to send 2 SEPERATE faxes because I cant turn over and scan/fax the back side of the page....either from the glass or ADF.
Thanks a lot HP.
Can you please tell us WHY you did that......so we can all understand?
Hope it was for a good reason and not a "mistake" on your part.....because its cost us a lot of time, expense, headackes!
If it was a mistake, maybe you can compensate us with a discount on ink?
