First thing to check is whether the problem is with the printer itself, or with the print jobs being generated by the system.

What about the Self test / configuration report generated directly from the printer? Does this print, or do you still get a blank page?

I think that this report can be invoked by holding down the green 'Go' button for at least 5 seconds whilst the printer is in an idle state.

tried doing the self test, paper that comes out still blank

Which indicates some sort of hardware fault, rather than anything to do with the printer drivers, etc.

Hardware is not my area of expertise, so I can't advise on this, sorry.

On the right side when you open the toner door at the top you will see a sort of switch where a protusion mounted on the toner door fits into the switch hole and move it back. That is the laser/scanner shutter mech which blocks the lens of the laser/scanner when you open the toner door to remove the cartridge so no excess toner gets up on the lens. Most times the protusion on the door is bent or broken off. The shutter is really not necessary on this model so just do a google search for the service manual and look for instructions on removing the laser/scanner and with those intructions you should be able to remove the shutter or if your case is a bent protusion, just bend it back or stick a thick piece of carboard into the switch opening to move the shutter and keep it open.
