Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that you want a printer driver for HP Deskjet 3940 printer. I would like to help you out with this issue today.

 

I made a research, I did not find a particular driver for your printer model.

 

As an alternate, you can use the built-in driver in windows operating system.

  • Set Windows Update to automatically download driver software.
  • Connect your printer to the computer.
  • Install the print driver with the Add a Printer wizard.
  • Print and scan a document.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps mentioned above to fix this issue.
