Hi RonCam,

No, that is my fault I miss understood your post, and thought you were still having an issue with the replacment unit. This is why i suggested you contact support. If they replaced the unit, and the new one is working. I am glad to hear that your issues got resolved with the new printer. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks for the canned message. I'm going to get some reviews before buying any HP hardware in the future.

I'm having the very same problem.  The printer will print one page then the next page jams, everytime.  It has done this since I started using it.  I've downloaded the HP update software and did a search for updates.  I've followed the video and followed the steps to clear the jam found on the paper jam blog, all to no avail.  I sometimes will get the error code 0X805D0700, sometimes I can press the OK when it jams and it will eventually spit out a page and then, sometimes, print the next page.  I have never been able to print more than one page at a time without fighting with the paper jam.

Step 7 worked for me: in my case, not a repair, but exchanging the printer at the store.  Thankfully their policy is an exchange or refund within the first 30 days, if not satisfied.  I would suggest only buying this model from a store that offers a similar guarantee.

PCWizard was right: since this fixed the problem, 100%, yes, it must have been a hardware problem, affecting the printer.  The replacement is working fine, for the last couple of months.  In other words, you turn it on, click Print, and it prints ... no drama.  This is with exactly the same paper, too.

I had to fight a bit with the management (this was at a FNAC branch, a French chain in Europe) because they wanted to put the old cartridges into the new printer.  This I refused, since the electronics in the cartridges is, in fact, part of the printer hardware.  After some discussion they relented and gave me a 100% new printer, with the happy result above.

There is a quality-control problem with these printers.  Some are leaving the factory, that should never see the light of day ... printers are bing produced with some out-of-tolerance part, and it's costing HP not only $$$ but also its reputation.

Broski, most of us have followed the tech support documents. The problem (for the most part) is crappy hardware on the printer.
