Since the Windows 10 Pro November update I have not been able to print via my HP laserjet 1015. I have scoured both the Windows web-site and HP web-site for support, updates and updated drivers.
HP only offered DOT4 for USB connection which doesn't work. I did try other HP universal print drivers offered on the site which were supposed to be able to drive just about anything. When using DOT4 via USB my printer does recognise that something is being sent because the data light flashes but either nothing prints, or if I press the green button on the printer I get pages blank, except for one row of meaningless symbols across the very top.
I have gone through all the different solution instructions on all the trouble-shooting web-pages I can find, used the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool and my own PC's trouble-shooting feature. I've been trying all solutions offered for the last two days but so far nothing has worked.
According to the web-page the DOT4 file was created back in May and as yet there isn't a newer version. It appears that USB connection is the only option now as I continually get error messages if I try to send to print via the LPT1 parallel port which worked up until a few days ago.
If you are able to help please bear in mind that I'm not a techie so make comments or instructions understandable to a ley person.

Him
Right click the Start button and select Device Manager.
From the Ports (COM & LPT) category double click on EPC Printer Port.
Within the Port Settings tab check the box next to "Use zny onterrupt..." anc press OK.
Restart your PC and try printing again.
Be sure to use teh HP Laserjet 1015 driver and not any other option, as the UPD is not compatible with your printer.
Hope that may help,
Shlomi
