I have an HP Photosmart 5520 printer that stopped printing in black.
I print 95% of my documents in Black .
I just bought 2 Black ink 564 xl cartridges and tried changing them out to see if it was a faulty cartridge.
No such luck.
After Reading this forum, it seems this is a (Known issue) by HP and the printer is now usless to me.
So now I'm stuck with 2 xl ink cartriges and a broken printer.
What is HP willing to do to help me, if anything?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing on your Photosmart 5520. If the steps there do not resolve the issue you might try manually cleaning the printhead as shown in the post here.
The Photosmart 5520 is far enough out of warranty I would not expect any significant help from HP. If you want to contact HP: from a post by Sunshyn2005, to contact HP Support see the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.
[Edit - if you have new in the package HP cartridges you may be able to exchange them for cartridges for a new printer. For cartridge exchange of HP cartridges unopened and in-warranty see the post here.]
