I have a HP Photosmart B109 printer that won't feed paper.

The problem seems to be the arm that traps the paper isn't turning its rollers after it comes down.  If I push the paper far enough back that the other rollers get it, it works.

I've tried cleaning both the back rollers and the rollers on the arm that comes down to trap the paper.

Any ideas?

Hello PrintaFixa;

What is the operating  System of your system?
Use this example as guide Windows 7 Sp1 and the Width of the instructions  32 or 64 bits
Although some of the issues that you face are not Operating system related, the steps that I will suggest may very well be based on what operating system. Knowing this will save a lot time to you and will provide me the opportunity to present you a better guide to the steps you have to take.

Can you more specific your printer have a lot of variations;

I've tried the link provided, but it fails on the first test.

If I push the paper in far enough, then it prints and feeds ok.

it's just the initial rollers don't pull in the paper far enough.

I have the exact same problem, the arm that drops and feeds the paper does drop, but the rollers on it do not move. Did you manage to fix it?

HP Recommended

I'm afraid not.  I think it's just a matter of cheap printer/parts, no fix.  Fiddled with it for ages and eventually gave up.

The scanner still worked, so passed the printer to someone else via freecycle.

I was afraid you would say that. Thing is, this printer is spot clean and hasn't printed more that 200 pages in its lifetime. Well, you get what you pay for i guess.
