Let's reset the printer: 1. Lift the cartridge access door to expose the cartridge area. 2. While the cartridge access door is open, press and hold (the Power button) and Wireless button on the back of the printer for three seconds.

Let me know if this helps.

The first question I want answered by HP is why a wireless printer  will not automatically reconnect to a wifi network when it is turned off and on. This has been an issues with this printer for the last ten months. I am not interested in which button or sequence of buttons to push to connect. I have been through all of them dozens times. I used to be able to force the printer to reconnect using HP Easy Start. I tried that tonight and the software crashed. I tried HP Scan and Print Doctor but it did not detect that the printer is not wirelessly connected. I thought that since I could at least use one printer connected with a USB cable that would be ok. But I had no way to monitor ink jet levels. So tried to install HPSmart. Attempts to download this app from the Microsot store or fron Google play all failed. Where do I go now.

May it needs a reset. There could be a possible hardware issue too if the resets do not work. We will diagnose it steps by step. Do try out the reset and let me know if that helped.
