Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Greetings, my answering machine is not picking up...all calls coming in to fax machine.  HP Officejet PRO 8600. It was wroking fine. Don't know what's happening. Thank you for your service. Lissette

Hello @TravelBiz,

 

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I see your incoming calls are going straight to the HP Officejet Pro 8600 fax line instead of your phone line, so the answering machine is not picking up. It was working previously.

 

I want you to start here: Setting Up the All-in-One to Send and Receive Faxes, check out the Additional setup options section, and setting the number of rings to answer, this helps when there is an answering machine on the same line.

 

If you are still seeing the issue continue troubleshooting here: Cannot Send or Receive Faxes

 

What are the results? I will watch for your reply.
