HP 1212nf
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

What I see:

Fax machine: green light next to  almost circle symbol  and orange light next to exclamation mark in triangle. Both flashing. On the screen it says initializing........

Computer: pop screen with meassage that says A fax has arrived from HP LaserJet Professional M1210 MFP series printer

I have tried to down load Filmware but it says: Make sure the RFU setting on the control panel is set to ON. (don't how to do this? instructions on this site not helpful). My printer is acctached via USB cord.

Also tried to turn off and on while pressing X and right arrow. Does not reset.

Hey there! @Leocheo, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand your printer is stuck at initializing firmware screen.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Try performing a super NVRAM rest on your printer and check if it helps.

Since the steps to perform NVRAM is confidential I will send you the steps in a private message. Please watch your inbox.

Let me know how it goes!

Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂
