HP Officejet 6500 All-in-one
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

My printer did not print well due to the black cartridge being almost empty. I changed it with a new one, but then printer gave an error saying 'ink system failure, please turn printer off and then on'. I did this, but once I switch it on the message appears again. I have plugged everything out and put it back in, but still, the message occurs. None of the functions on the printer seem to work while the message appears. I did put the old cartridge back in to see whether it makes a difference, but still, the message appears. How do I fix this?
