HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased a new computer with Windows 10 (either 32 or 64 not sure) and the printer is not recognized at all. It was working fine before our old comp crashed. I have tried to install the Support Solutions Framework but it does not acknowledge the printer at all. We have unplugged and tried to reset but nothing seems to work.

Thank you

Hi @RebeHar,

Welcome to the HP Support forums.

I Understand that you unable to connect your new Windows 10 PC to your HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf Multifunction Printer.

Are you connecting to the printer via USB, or over a network?

It may help to try to install the printer by using the HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver.

If connecting via USB, here is a document to help Download and Install Printer Driver and Software Via USB. If connecting over a network, here is a document to help Download and Install a Windows Printer Driver for a Network.

If you are doing a network install, and the PC is still unable to connect to the printer, the following document may provide some assistance - Printer Not Found During Network Driver Setup (Windows).

If this solves your problem, please make it easier for other people to find solutions by marking a Reply 'Accept as Solution' if it solves your problem. Click the KUDOS thumb up on the left to say 'Thanks'.
