hp officejet 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a new printer as the old one was dropping wireless connections and needed new printheads. Bought officejet 8710 and got it set up pretty easily. I have one at work that scans to a folder but I cannot figure out how to set this one up at home. I don't have a "network" like at work, just my laptops that connect wirelessly to the printer. I found some setting somewhere (and I don't remember where and can't find it again!) that led me through steps that required an id (email?) and password. I got "password failed" messages twice.  How do I do this???

thnx

HI Sheena,

It sounds like you are unable to scan using your new Officejet 8710, is that right?

Are you connecting to the printer using "WI-FI Direct"?

Have you tried scanning with a USB connection?

Hello SheenaFLA

I would reccomend to watch the following videos for setting up network scan. Please revert in case of any discrepancy.
