@kapnkrunch

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn printer is not picking papers.

I would like to help you out with this issue today.

  • Load the tray with the correct size of paper for your job.
  • Make sure the paper size and type are set correctly on the product control panel.
  • Make sure the paper guides in the tray are adjusted correctly for the size of paper. Adjust the guides to the appropriate indentation in the tray.
  • Check the product control panel to see if the product is waiting for you to acknowledge a prompt to feed the paper manually. Load paper, and continue.
  • The pickup roller and separation pad might be contaminated, clean them with a lint-free cloth.

Let me know how it goes.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".

Let me know how you make out

Cheers.

Hello, is there any sort of error message or anything that pops up? Also when you go to try and do a scan off the glass can you hear anything motors or anything?

HP Recommended

window says 'ready',  no motor noise as usually with scan or doc feed.

@kapnkrunch,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn printer does not pick up paper while scanning from the automatic document feeder(ADF).

This issue could occur if the ADF rollers are dusty or the paper sensor may be defective.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:

1. Lift the document-feeder input tray.

2. Use a moist, lint-free cloth to wipe both pickup rollers and the separation pad to remove dirt.

CAUTION: Do not use abrasives, acetone, benzene, ammonia, ethyl alcohol, or carbon tetrachloride on any part of the product; these can damage the product. Do not place liquids directly on the glass or platen. They might seep and damage the product.

3. Close the document-feeder input tray.

You may also check page no 96 of the User manual from the link for photos of Document Feeder: http://hp.care/2eMgmuE
