I have a problem when I try to copy a page smaller than A4 (A5, for instance) and resizing it to an A4 page.

The printer does not resize the original page to fit the paper, it just prints it at the same size at the center of the A4 page.

Hi MCMoo,

You didn't state which operating system you're using but if it's Windows in the Print menu, click on More Settings under the list of print options and change the Paper Size from A4 to A5.

Hope this works for you.

I did not specify the operating system because my problem is on the copy function. I put a small document on the scanning glass, i press copy on the display, i press resize, i set "fit to page" an then i press copy black.

Hello,

I was able to place an A5 sheet on the copy glass and copy to a larger size paper using the Resize -> Fit to Page  setting that you referenced.  I was able to get this to work on both the Officejet Pro and PageWide Pro MFP.

One thing to check is the size of the media in the tray. On the Officejet Pro, Look at both the Paper Setting to make sure the size is set to the size of media loaded into the tray. Also look at the Copy Default Tray setting to see if that it is selecting the tray with the media size you expect. When you select Copy, the Copy flow will obtain the size value from the tray setting to determine which size to expand to.

You might also double check that the correct Resize option is selected. On the Officejet Pro I had to scroll through a screen or two to get to the fit to page option.

I had to place the sheet on the glass in the upper left corner (the longer part was from side to side on the glass).

Hopefully that helps,
