Product: officejet 7500A wide format al
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

relocated home office and printer will not discover my laptop with a good usb connection.  the usb port works for other hardware.  I downloaded a new driver version to no avail.  i have restarted my laptop, printer and nothing seems to work.  any ideas?

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Officejet 7500A printer. I understand that you are unable to connect your computer to the printer using USB cable and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting. 

  • Restart the computer, printer, and router.
  • Check the network and printer connection status.
  • Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
