OFFICEJET 8610

My printer cartridges are stuck on the right side of the printer.  I tried everything that the forums have said.  I've turned the printer off, unplugged the printer (from the wall and from the printer) I put my hand in and I cannot get the cartridges to move at all.  I have checked every hole and crevice for paper jams.  Cannot find any.  Keeps saying the cartriges won't move or sometime it says The printhead appears to be missing, detected or incorrectly installed.   Help!

@STACEY21,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to print from your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer as you get an error message "cartridges won't move".

This issue could occur if the carriage is jammed.

Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: http://hp.care/2nxHP8N

If the issue still persists, then you may need to contact HP phone support for further assistance at the link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Thank you for your help.  But the cartridges are physically stuck on the right side.  I had a very muscular man try to force them to the left with no success.  I'm going to have to buy another printer.

I understand that the issue has not resolved after following the steps mentioned in the previous interaction.

This could be a hardware issue with the unit.
