officejet pro 8630 all in one
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Error code 0xc19a0023 missing or failed printer head. Bought January 20, 2016 so off warranty. Tried on-line resetting by powering off with plug, worked to print (3) pages, now nothing.

We spent the money to buy what we thought were quality products, including EliteDesk computers. Going forward we're going to have to reconsider that.

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the printhead failure message on your Officejet Pro 8630.  If the first two solutions do not resolve the issue I would suggest removing the printhead and cleaning the electrical contacts with a damp lint free wipe.  A clean coffee filter can work well for this.

PLease let me know the results.

Thanks, I've tried the first two solutions, and cleaning the contacts without success. Someone had suggested a air lock problem between the cartridges and the head. I removed the head with cartridges installed & shook it (violently - lol) & reinstalled. It went to aligned mode & after printed two pages, then back to error code. Removed & shook again and so far so good.
