paper goes straight through printer without printing and shows out of paper warning on screen

Hi,I'm having issues with my hp photosmart 7450.

On loading paper and selecting items to print the paper goes straight through to the back of the printer without printing and then shows 'Out of paper' warning on front screen.

Thanks for the reply,played about with the paper and it printed 2 copies of the document.
Hopefully that has resolved the problem.
I've ran out of time to continue more printing to make sure so will try over the weekend.
