This printer worked for a couple months, then this mismatch error started. Getting error E1 and paper mismatch error, I get "!" on little printer panel, press the paper button and paper goes straight through. I have tried disconnecting power, checking all point for paper scraps, did the "power", "error button", "color copy button" sequence process (which never did anything), created a new paper 8.5 x 11 named "R" I am getting errors from my Mac Pad, HP PC laptop and my phone. I cannot print any status pages.Took the PC laptop off the network. Does anyone have any ideas? I would rather not take it back to the store. It's only a few months old.

Hi,
Please open the HP Smart app and double-click your printer icon, then press on Advanced Settings.
Open the Settings tab and there select Preferences.
Click on Printer Country / Region and ensure the correct country is listed.
Next, click on Tray and Paper Management and ensure that Paper Size is set as US Letter and the Type as Plain Paper for Large Papers.
Next, ensure there are at least 10 pages and correctly aligned to the right, as listed under 'Step 4: Load paper into the input tray' below:

Allgood now. So this worked on the Mac Pad and phone right off the bat. The HP PC Laptop, was a little more work. I finally deleted and re-installed the printer according to installing a new printer out of the box which worked. Maybe the printer SW on the computers/pads/phone lost the "pin" which is key??
