Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does the old LaserJet 4 series support parallel to USB conversion?

I do a lot of cardstock printing and the LJ4 gets hot enough to solidlyfuse on cardstock where as the 2015DN does not.  Since new PCs don't have parallel ports I have no other way to connect.

I was given a Sabrent USB 2 to parallel cablebut before I try it I ant to make sure I won't mess things up.

If worse comes to worse I can run the LJ4 on an older XPSP3 machine to do cardstock

All help appreciated.

Hi,

My suggestion: use old machine with XP for your printer. USB - Parrallel gives, specially under Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10,  you more headache and times just to fix it. Time is money.

Regards.
