I too have printed out your solution for this problem as it is a real winner. I am not too tech savvy but I had no trouble following the instructions and they worked like a charm. Thank you very much for your help.

I'm having the same problem, but, the problem I'm having is trying to get the software to install. I keep getting a Windows installer error about 20% into the installation. I've already tried your suggestion and I have no problem doing a L4 uninstall, but, I can't get the software to install. I had to resort to a system point restore to get my printer working again but I still have the parsing error. I'm stumped at this point. FYI I'm running a 32bit Vista OS. I look forward to any help I can get. Thanks

I keep getting the statement on screen "parsing error in file C:\program files\hp\digitalimaging\bin\hpqscloc\1033.xml.
Then when this is deleted a HP page appears unfortunately it is blank not knowing what it's contents are.
Suggestions or solution please.
Thank you in advance.

I have the same issue with my HP Photosmart C7280. I have many, many files that begin with Z7. Where do I start???
Please help. I'm thinking of taking my computer all the way back to it's original out-of-the-box state.
Thank you.

I solved this problem on my C410a Photosmart by following the directions on page 1 posted by Travis_C. I only had one file that started with Z, so I am at a loss as to where you need to start. Your comment about taking your printer back to its out of the box state sounds like a good plan to me. Good Luck.

None of these suggestions worked so I junked the printer and bought a new one. would you please quit sending me E-mails telling me to give "kudos" to solutions that did not work. Good luck to anyone that has this parsing error.
I feel HP should support there printers alot better than they do.............
