After inserting two new HP cartridges priniting quality started to deteriorate. Ran successive head cleanings with no improvement. Upon removing cartridges and re-inserting, the color cartridge is not recognized. Nothing looks different on color side vs  black side. Printer is no longer supported by HP. Any suggestions?

Hi @AppleGal,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer wherein the cartridge does not get recognized.

This issue could occur if the ink cartridge does not have the full electrical contact with the printer.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Ink Cartridge Error Messages

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
