Product: C309

We have an older C309 HP printer.  The black ink wouldn't print with a new catridege.  Replaced with another  new cartridge.  Still won't print.  Colors are printing just fine.  Tried to align printer cartidges-error message alignment failed.  What now?

Have you tried cleaning the printhead? (see link)
