I have had this printer for a long time but here recently it only print one copy at a time no matter how many I set it to print. To my knowledge nothing has changed on my computer. I tried installing the latest driver updates that did not help.

Hi @jmac1212,
I see by your post that you can only print one copy at a time. I would like to help you resolve this issue. If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the " "Accept as Solution" " button down below in this message. If you wish to say thanks for my effort to help, click the " Thumbs Up " to give me a Kudos.
From the application your printing from, go to File, Print, Number of copies select 2. Uncheck Collate. You can now change the number of copies. Collate should now stay unchecked.
Try printing multiple copies of the document again.
If the issue persists, download and run the Print and Scan Doctor, it will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it.
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know. Thank You.

My dialogue box for collate does not have a check and uncheck system, You have to manually change the box to uncollate. I did that with no change. I ran the print and scan dr. but it said that there were no issues with the printer. I ran a test page which printed fine but it still will only print one copy at a time.

Hi @jmac1212,
Could you provide a screen shot of the Print window, so I can see more of what is going on.
Try another application, like Notepad to see if you have the same results please. Use the steps again that were provided. I have seen by doing those steps resolved the issue for printing multiple copies.
What application are you having the issue from?
Let me know the results. Thank You.

Hi @jmac1212,
So you are able to uncheck the collate, but still not able to print more then 1 copy.
Try right clicking on the application and select Run as Administrator, to see if that will help.
If you are still having issue, I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the printer software, the driver may be corrupted.
Here is the latest drivers for Windows 7: LJ1018_1020_1022_Full_Solution.exe
Please let me know the outcome. Thank You.

O.K. so I copy and pasted something from an e-mail onto a blank word document and printed it. I only needed one copy but I thought I would try it so I asked for 4 copies and it printed them. So, I went back and opened the document I was originally trying to print and yet again it would only give me one copy. So, I copy and pasted that document into a new word document and it now will print multiple copies. Can you explain why this is and if there is someway to fix it without having to copy and paste all of my documents onto new word documents.

Hi @jmac1212,
I see that you were able to copy the email document into Word and print multiple again, then after opening the saved document again it wouldn't print the multiples copies again.
What email application are you using? (Outlook, Web Based)
Did you try the uninstall and reinstall of the printer software yet?
I would suggest to try the HP LaserJet 1018 Printer Hostbased Plug and Play Basic Driver.
Hope this helps. Thank You.
