I have had the above printer for about three months and it seems to use an abnormal amount of ink compared to all the rest of the HP printers I have had over the years.  Is anyone experiencing this problem or know if that is a downpoint of this particular printer?

Hi @mamapic

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is using the ink too quickly.

I’d love to help!

The 902 cartridges are rated at 300 pages using the standard print suite.  If you are printing photo's you will get much fewer pages.  Printing in Draft mode will give more pages (at reduced quality). Running unnecessary cleaning cycles or turning off the printer power from an external switch will use more ink.

Refer to the below article on ink usage in HP printers.

Hope that answers your question and you have a great day.
