I am a macbook pro owner.
My new printer prints colour when using test pages
but
only prints in greyscale when printing from Excel,Word, or webpages
This appears to be a common problem from the list on the site
But I cannot see an answer in the help section of your site
Thanks
Dave

Hi there!
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you're well @DaveMacowner,
I saw your post about how your Mac running 10.10 is unable to print in color to your Envy 4522, and I wanted to reply with my own suggestions. As the test pages print out in color, we know the printer itself is okay!:)
Try these steps in order from your Mac:
- Reset the printing system
- Repair disk permissions
- Restart the Mac
- Click this link, download and install Easy Start: HP Easy Start
- In addition, download this driver: HP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X
- Try printing again
If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help.
Hit the "Accept as Solution" if we've reached a solution, and the "thumbs up" to say thanks for my help.
Have a wonderful day:D
