Press and hold the Enter button, and then press Menu to bypass the cartridge alignment. Then print a test page to verify that all of the colors are present.

Here's what I did. Turn off the printer and start the computer again. Make a scan of the printer's test page. It will complete alignment.

Thank you disspfld, that works and has got rid of that very annoying message which always delayed my printing. Shame Hewlett packard couldn't sort out the problem!

I would like to try your solution: "Press and hold the Enter button, and then press Menu to bypass the cartridge alignment". However, how do you press "Menu"?
