Hi @gramie47

I understand when you are printing a picture the background is printing in black. I can help you, but I will need some more information.

Does this happen when printing from any other applications?

If you are printing from the internet, try another browser to see if you have the same results.

What application are you printing from? (Google Chrome, Photo Software)

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

Have a nice day!
Thank You.

sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am using windows 7   64bit. the problem was when I printed out a map from google the map printed out fine it took up the top half  of the page but the rest of the page printed out in solod black. I then wanted to see if it did the same thing if I was to print out a photo from my photos and it came out fine it did not print  the rest of the page in black so why is it only doing it when I print  from the internet? I have internet  Explorer if that helps.

Hi gramie47, thanks for letting me know you are printing from Internet Explorer.

Did you try printing from another Web Browser to see if you had the same results?

You can try these steps to see if that will resolve the issue using Internet Explorer.

  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. Click the Options tab and click Print all linked documents. (yours might be a little different, depending on version of Internet Explorer you are using.
  3. Click Print.

Hope this helps.

Thank You.

Hi gramie47,

Sorry to hear that didn't resolve the issue.

I checked online for issues printing from the Internet, found a couple of things you can try. Most likely it is a setting that needs to be changed in the browser settings, since the printer prints fine from the computer.

From Internet Explorer, go to File, Page setup, Remove check from "Printer background color and images" if checked, or vise versa, to see if that helps.

Here is another document you may take a look at.

Map Images May Not Print Properly When Using Internet Explorer.

If you continue to have issues, contact your Internet Provider for further assistance.

Thank You.
