@ecbridge

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I Understand the HP prints only in light blue,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Does the issue persist using the copier as well?

Did you print a test page to check if the results are different?

While you respond to that, here's a few things you can try:

Solution one: Remove the black cartridge

If you just set up your printer and you notice that black ink is missing or faded on your printouts, follow these steps to remove the black cartridge and print only with the tri-color cartridge. This allows the printer to operate in a single-cartridge mode, which creates composite black from the tri-color cartridge.

Solution two: Check estimated ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges

Low ink can contribute to poor print quality. Follow these steps to check the ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges.

Solution three: Use an automated tool to clean the printhead

If it works fine after following the above steps, although, you have issues with the print quality, please Click here to fix print quality issues.

And Keep me posted for further assistance 😉
