HP Deskjet 2135
Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

I just purchased a brand new HP Deskjet 2135 and have been encountering problems with the installation of the driver on my MacBook Air (running on OS X 10.9.5). 

 

During Downloading from HP Easy Start (both from the CD driver installer and also online), a pop-up box appears saying "Cannot install software. The software cannot be installed. Try again later." Though it finishes the Download, the next Waiting bar hangs. I've been doing this for 4 days but no success. In fact, I made ample space on my hard drive prior to attempting the download for the first time & connected to various, more stable net connection thinking it's a connectivity issue but I get the same results. HELP!!! I don't know what's wrong or if I should just return the printer to the shop for a refund.

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you reset the Mac printing system and download the software again?

 

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please. Please note that I am not overloading you with a lot of troubleshooting steps.

Instead, just like you, I am eager to ensure that the problem gets resolved. So I am providing you with more resources and information at your disposal to deal with the situation better.
