HP Laserjet m1522nf
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

We recently bought a refurbished printer - HP Laserjet m1522nf - it is the EXACT same model we had before, at least I think it is 🙂

And we were able to hook it up and start using it for printing and copying right away.

However, I don't know how to get my scan function working again. I have a shortcut for scanning on my desktop but when I try to click it, it's mostly non-responsive...after several minutes it pops up with a 'processing' message or something. But it doesn't scan anything.

Help!

And did you totally reinstall the Full Featured Software and Drivers for that printer from the HP Support site?

Thank you for your reply.

I first tried re-installing the CD that came with the printer but that just resulted in an error message.

I downloaded the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64 bit) which I believe is the right one for my OS.  Doesn't affect my scan-ability at all.

Note: the printer I use to scan docs to my computer is not my default printer. But we did have it set up so that it was connected with the scan shortcut.

Aaargh!  I hate this stuff 🙂

I may just call in tech support.
