C 4700

Do I need the color ink to print black copies on my C 4700 HP printer?  The color ran out and now the black doesn't print some lines.

@Abliese,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that you are unable to print properly in black after color cartridge was empty.

This issue could occur copy had a few colored lines.

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

To get the best print quality, I request you to replace the color cartridge.

If you are able to print after removing the color cartridge, then the unit works in single-cartridge mode.

You may follow the link to replace the cartridges: http://hp.care/2kPrpYh

Also, you may check the ink levels fro the link: http://hp.care/2kPq7wx

I hope you have a good day ahead.
