Hi,

The message appears when you shout down your printer or you shut down your computer and that is normal.

Regards.

@Mope1

@banhien is right -- the annoying message is "normal".

If  the message is "bugging your trip", it is time to put a stop to it.

You can "fix" this:

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpg1.  Disable the Scan-to-Computer feature

  1. Optional > Disable “Scan to Computer” feature when Windows Starts

Printer Assistant (icon shortcut on your Desktop named for your Printer) >

Tab Print, Scan & Fax >> Under Scan >> Select / Click on Manage Scan to Computer >

UNCHECK / Clear box:  Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows > Close

Consequences

  • If / When you do want to Scan-to-Computer from your printer panel, you will need to remember to first "enable" the setting.
  • The message might pop-up at odd times.

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpg2.  You can switch off the annoying message

  • Method 1 (Windows 10 Pro AU)

Windows key > Settings > Personalization (Background, lock screen, colors) >

TaskBar > Scroll down > Select which icons appear on the taskbar >

Set OFF  Always show all icons in the notification area (allows list to be edited)

Scroll down > Switch OFF ScanToPCActivationApp >

Optional: Set ON   Always show all icons in the notification area
