If you want to scan a document to the computer you will need to use the software. Refer the How do scan documents below.

Scan from the printer to the computer has never been a feature on consumer laserjet products. This feature is found in the Photosmart, Officejet product lines.

- i have a problem with my hp laserjet cm1415fn to scan document. my os is Windows 7 professional and that printer is connected to the LAN, I can print without any problem, but scanning is now a problem, I am getting an error message saying that ''The printer is not connected or there is a problem with my network" while i can still printing documents.
Is there anybody who can help me to solve this?
P.S: The scanner was working before, but i dont know what happend. HELP ME TO FIX THIS
