HP Recommended
Product: Office Jet J4580 All In One
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I will program from front panel and I do not have an option of JPEG or document.  I use the icon to access the program and I can tell it to scan as a document but every time the scanned item cames out as a photo scan.  I am unable to save in my documents so I can send them via email.

Scanning issues…

Please try this scan solution:
 
HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Make searchable PDF scans with this free scanning software -   https://www.naps2.com/
