scanning laser jet pro MFP M476dn problem

I keep having problems with scanning documents, whether with or withoud ADF.  I have been searching for solutions for a long time, but really nothing works. re- initializing the printer sometimes does, but the next time i get the same bad results. Any suggestions for a solution?

Dear John, I read this page already a dozen times, but that doesn't solve the problem. because I keep getting stripes whether I scan via ADF or not. Sometimes a init reset wil help (pressing the right side of the screen while starting up), but it keeps coming back every time. And the photo  I includes looks completely different from the stripes you are referring to. Any other suggestions?
