Product: hp deskjet 1512
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

can't get it to show up on the hp scan app, and have no idea how to fix it

Hi,

 

Have you installed it software and drivers to your computer yet ? If yes, please try (from manual page 30):

 

(a) Double click printer icon on Desktop

(b)  In the printer software, select the Print & Scan tab, and then select Scan a Document or Photo under Scan. You will see scan options that you can select on the computer screen.
