I setup a new printer "Hp laserjet 600 M601" for a client using the software provided and connected using a usb cable. It was working fine when I left my clients office. Today there asking me for a sign-in and password for their new printer. Does someone know what the default sign-in/password for this printer? I checked some of the manuals on the hp website but it didn't mention this.
Thanks,
Chris

You do not need to sign in. That sign in is for technical use only. If they want to do any reports or other maintenance on the printer they just scroll down to the administration menu and press the ok button and additional menus will be present. I do not know why HP included that sign in screen item with the new smart firmware which appears on all new printers. I have never had to use that item so I doubt any users out there need to access it either.
