Product: Scanjet G4050
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've been using my Scanjet G4050 quite a lot for the past couple of months. I'm seeing rainbow colored streaks in color slides I'm scanning now. The problem seems to be getting worse. I will try to attach a sample image for illustration.

 

I need to know if there is anything I can do to fix the problem or if I simply need to get another scanner.

 

This is a portion of a scanned image which shows the streaking very well.
