I have tried multiple times from multiple systems to download the firmware update:

TT6-TTAJ_08_02_03.3_mvl40-x86-opt_B.fmw

File downloads consistantly with a file size of 467,720 kb.

"Firmware update process has not been successful. The file you have selected may not be the right one or the problem may have been caused by a transmission error."

1. How do you contact HP to update the firmware file.

2. Other solutions?

Hi,

The phone number to contact HP is different depending on the country you are at.

If you are in US, here is the phone number 800-334-5144.

About the prroblem with the firmware, have you try using a different connection? like :

1- Connecting the printer dirrectly to the computer with a crossover cable

2- Connecting the printer to the computer with a USB cable and usign the HP Utility to update the firmware

3- Download the firmware using another browser

Also, what is the problem with the printe that you need to update the FW? and what is the currect firmware on your printer?

Best regards

Mike,

Current Firmware:  TT6-TTAJ_5.0.0.6

1- Connecting the printer dirrectly to the computer with a crossover cable - I have not tried this yet

2- Connecting the printer to the computer with a USB cable and usign the HP Utility to update the firmware - Tried

3- Download the firmware using another browser - Tried IE and Chrome

What is the problem with the printer that you need to update the FW?

When I select the Properties button in the Printer window I get this message:

Firmware Upgrade

This printer requries a firmware upgrade.

In the next screen you will be downloading and installing the firmware upgrade to your printer.

This process will take some time for completion.

Click Continue to start the process.

When I click on Continue I get this Message:

Fimware Upgrade

To download the firmware upgrade internet acccess is required. Please check your internet connection and try again.

It never connects the office network has a good internet connection.

If I use the the Embedded Web Server(192.169.1.50) connection over the network and connected directly with USB cable:

There were problems with the firmware file and the firmware update process has not been successful. The file you have selected may not be the right one or the problem may have been caused by a transmission error.

Thanks,

Stan

Also try to contact HP to get a FW between 5.0.0.6 and 08_02_03.3.

It might be that the firmware does not allow you to make that jump.

Hi

Try to download from this FTP ftp://d_sj2015:Abc=1234@h2.usa.hp.com (If necessary Pass: Abc=1234   User: d_sj2015)

Once you have the fileTT6-TTAJ_08_02_03.3_mvl40-x86-opt_B.fmw, put it on USB pen drive (Previously Format on system file FAT 32) only one file on device USB device

After this plug the pen drive on USB host on rear the printer (beside LAN port), then follow the instructions on front panel

I hope this be useful

PD: please consider that the FTP will keep open by 2 days since today 17 Oct

I Formatted a flash drive - FAT 32

Downloaded the File provided.

Inserted the Flash Drive and The Plotter recognize it as a firmware update.

After a few minutes I got the following message on the front screen:

Inserted USB flash drive does not contain a valid firmware file.

Press OK to continue.

Thank You for your help,

Stan

If the T1200 will not download the firmware directly then check the embedded web server network settings.

Printing on your local network will probably work even if the DNS and Default Gateway are incorrect, but you will have problems accessing locations outside your network.
