I recently bought a refurbished HP computer, System Type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
WINDOWS 10 Home Version 1803 OS build 17134.48.
I have an old G55 office jet printer that works exceptionally well on windows 7, however moving on to windows 10 I have tried to find a driver without success.
I have tried installing it a standard printer as per windows 10 instructions but windows doesn't recognize it.
I realise it may be time to say goodbye but it has some excellent features that are no longer available on newer printers and it copies photos colour prefect and I would like to keep it going as cartridges are still available.
Can anyone suggest where I could get a driver or convince windows 10 to recognise it please ?

Hi forum
I updated the windows 10 computer today with the latest updates 28.01.2019.
I then plugged in the Hp G55 printer which was already switched on.
The computer recognised the printer so I went to settings- printers and I was suprised to see it was listed - it has never been before.
I then went to add printer - highlighted the HP G55 and then made it my default printer.
I then printed a test page and it actually worked - I was happily amazed.
Thank you for your help I am most greatfull
