Laser jet 4100

I cannot get windows 10 to install my HP laser jet 4100 printer. IT shows up on the printer device list, but shows there is no driver for it. I know it's an old printer, but we have been using it at my church and don't want to replace it. It still works great.

I upgraded to windows 10 yesterday and dont want to have to get a new printer.

Fortunately, this model appears to be compatible to Windows 10, according to this guide: LINK

HP's most recommended solution for installing this model to your computer is by using the HP Universal Print Driver, which you can get here: LINK

Please let me know if you have any questions while using this program. Good luck!

If all else fails find another driver in the 4000 series like for the 4200 or 4250 and try that. To a degree HP drivers are interchangeable.

I was able to install the HP4100 printer driver on Windows 10 but unable to print.

Documents show in the print que but do not print.  No data seems to be sent to the HP4100

Please help

I'm wondering if you are using an older computer with a parallel port.

When does 10 has been giving many people headaches when attempting to print using a parallel port.

The solution seems to be to go into device manager and find your LPT port and edit the properties and set it to use any requested interrupt.

I have never done this personally but I have read of many people solving their issues this way.
