I have a hp 5660 printer.  I am trying to print two or more copies per page, but am unsuccessful.  I updated all software/drivers for the printer, and still am not having any luck.  I go to preferences, pick everyday printing, select 2 copies per page.  It shows the page on the bottom right corner displaying the page with divided in half.  I click apply, then print.  I go to the printer and it only prints 1 copy on half of the page.  So it makes the one copy smaller to fill half the page, but then doesn't print on the other half.  Does anyone have any suggestions on what I am doing wrong, or what I can do to get this to work?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully help

Hello, @docdocmurdoc – Hope you are well 🙂

Thanks for joining the HP Support forums! I would glad to be of your assistance 🙂

I understand that you are trying to print more than one copy per page. To assist you better, I need to know a few more details:

  1. What is the operating system on your PC?
  2. What is the application that you are trying to print from (MS Word, Adobe etc.)?

Alternatively, if you are running Windows OS, try these steps:

  1. Go to Control Panel – Devices and printers.
  2. Right-click on your printer and select “Printing preferences”
  3. Then, choose the Layout tab, as shown in the below fig.. Next to the text “Pages per Sheet” you can choose the number of pages to print on the same side of a single sheet.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Good luck 🙂

I am operating Windows 10. Trying to print with ms word. I get the screen u are showing above I pick 2 copies to print on a single sheet. Hit print and it does the same thing. Basically resizes the original to half a page, and leaves the other half blank.

Hello, @docdocmurdoc

Thanks for the reply & appreciate your efforts 🙂

I would suggest you completely uninstall and reinstall the drivers and check. Here are the steps:

  • Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Envy printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.

Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.

  • Restart your computer.

  • Now, go to http://hp.care/2epqueJ Download and install the printer drivers.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
  • Now again try to change the printing preferences and try to print.

Let me know if that helps!

Good luck 🙂

I will do that tomorrow night when I get home and see if that helps. When you say go to server properties and delete any entries in drivers does that mean everything. I haven't gone in there before, and don't know if there are generic Windows printer drivers that should be in there. If there are do I remove them, or just anything associated with hp envy printer?

Hello, @docdocmurdoc

Thanks for the reply!

Delete only the entries related to the HP printer.

Thanks, I'll watch for your reply!

Have a great day 🙂
