Just had the same problem with my HP Office Jet Pro 8625.  I was cleaning old SW from previous printer and may have trashed it.  I went to the trash bin and restored any suspects.  Still had problem.  I went to Uninstall or change program and repaired HP Update and it seems to be working.  I don't know what the .exe file would be for the new printer if I went online to look for it but this hopefully did the job working from the HP Printer Assistant window.:smileyvery-happy:
